The Sarek National Park is probably the wildest, most exciting, most spectacular and most deserted region of all Northern Europe. On almost 2000 square kilometers here every superlative applies! Trekking in Sarek means to renounce everything that makes hiking in other areas so pleasant: There are no huts where one could find shelter, no marked trails (maybe a few footprints), no bridges inside the park, no signposts – NOTHING! Except for pure nature untouched by human hands! Here there have never been permanent residents, no roads or power lines were ever built through the valleys. The area has always been considered inaccessible.
