Tour of the Two Seas to Discover the Caves of St. Mary of Leuca _ Nereide

The tour proposed by our company lasts about 3 hours and 30 minutes with departure from the port of Torre Vado (Marina di Morciano di Leuca). The first stop is in the Ionian Sea, where all the caves on this side are illustrated (Dragon’s Cave, Stable and Nativity Cave, Giant’s Cave, Three Gates Cave, Children’s Cave and River Cave). After passing Punta Ristola, the heel of Italy, we reach Santa Maria di Leuca, where the captain provides interesting facts and anecdotes relating to naval history landmarks. Having passed Punta Meliso, the point where the two seas meet, staff continues presenting the caves along the Adriatic coast (terra dico cave, Tent of Indians, seagulls’ grottoes, La Verdusella, Breath Cave and Wind Cave). There are also scheduled swimming breaks during the trip for snorkelling; lastly, upon returning onboard, passengers can enjoy a delicious complimentary apéritif made up of regional specialties paired with Prosecco wine, mineral water or herbal teas (with lemon flavouring or peaches) provided in ecologic individual portions that are biodegradable.

The tour proposed by our company lasts about 4 hours with departure from the port of Torre Vado (Marina di Morciano di Leuca). The first stop is in the Ionian Sea, where all the caves on this side are illustrated (Dragon Cave, Stable and Nativity Cave, Giant Cave, 3 Gate Cave, Child's Cave and River Cave). After passing Punta Ristola, the Heel of Italy, you arrive at Santa Maria di Leuca, where the skipper will provide some historical hints and curiosities on the points of interest of the navy. The staff, after passing Punta Meliso, a meeting point between the two seas, will continue with the presentation of the caves of the Adriatic Sea (Terradico, Tenda degli Indiani, Grotta dei Gabbiani, La Verdusella, Grotta del Soffio and Grotta della Vora). During the excursion there are bathing stops, during which guests have the chance to go snorkelling; lastly an appetizing welcoming aperitif awaits them onboard featuring traditional regional produce and fresh season fruits paired with Prosecco, mineral water or herbal teas (with lemon flavouring or peach) served personally.
