Everest Base Camp trek
The most popular trek in Nepal is none other than the Everest Base Camp Trek. It's a 14 day trek that leads you to Everest base camp and kala patthar for an up close view of mount everest. This moderately challenging trail provides breathtaking views of cho oyu, lhotse, nuptse, makalu, thamserku, ama dablam and numerous others within mahalangur himal range. You will experience the distinct sherpa lifestyle and their warm welcome throughout your journey through this part of nepal. Starting at lukla, the ebc treking path passes by various sherpa hamlets including phakding, namche bazar, tengboche monastery, dingboche village, lobuche area and gorekshep tea house before heading back down towards lukla again; however reaching from gorekshep to lukla alone would take about three full days on its own right. From here we have option to ascend kalapathar peak located nearby taking approximately another couple of hours where one could witness spectacular vistas over mt eve rest (including pumori & nuptse) among several others while standing atop kalapatthar viewpoint site.
