Day 1: Dar es Salaam to Mikumi NP Your driver guide will pick you up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam at 07:00 am and begin driving to Mikumi National Park, which is approximately a 5 to 6 hour drive. You will stop along the way for a hot lunch. After lunch, you will proceed to Mikumi NP for a game drive until sunset. Common animals found in this park include lions, elands, hartebeests, buffaloes, wildebeests, giraffes, zebras, and elephants, among others. Wild dogs can be spotted in packs here. Experience the open horizons and abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain. Over 300 bird species have been observed in this park. Accommodation: Mikumi NP Tourist Cottage (Inside the park) Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Mikumi NP Wake up for an early morning game drive until 08:30 am, then return to the cottage for breakfast. Afterward, head out again for a full-day game drive in Mikumi National Park with a packed lunchbox or the option of a hot lunch inside the park. Continue with the game drive until sunset, then return to the cottage for dinner and overnight stay.
