You will explore the historic center of Rio de Janeiro and the revitalized port area aboard an electric pedicab — a fun, safe, and sustainable way to soak up centuries of history and appreciate the beauty of the Magnificent City.
We will meet in front of the Municipal Theater and from there will embark on a tour of some of the most popular spots in Lapa, the city center, and the old port. Along the way, you can stop at the attractions, learn about the importance of each place, and take photos. Our itinerary is highly Instagrammable!
Our modern pedicabs visit many places inaccessible to cars and cover three times more ground than would be possible on a walking tour. They are also a great mode of transport to soak up the atmosphere of Rio. Whenever possible, we will also make stops to enjoy live music and cultural events we encounter along the way. We also keep our groups small (maximum 8 people) so you can get to know your guide and learn about their experience of living in Rio de Janeiro.
Our itinerary includes the Selarón Steps, the Lapa Arches, the Royal Portuguese Reading Room, the Etnias graffiti mural, the Imperial Palace, the Museum of Tomorrow, the Arco do Telles, the Metropolitan Cathedral, the Banco do Brasil Cultural Center, the Passeio Público Park, the Valongo Wharf, and Pedra do Sal. Whenever possible, we are flexible with the itinerary and will try to substitute locations if visitors have already visited any of them. At the end, we will be happy to drop you off at any museum, cultural site, or restaurant we pass during the tour. Please note that the availability of locations may vary depending on the time and day of your tour.
