Tour Overview
Discover dramatic tsingy formations, lemur-filled rainforests, volcanic craters, and pristine Nosy Be islands. Expect moderate hikes, wildlife spotting, and cultural stops like plantations. Travel by private 4x4 vehicle (8-9 hours total driving) with English-speaking guide, mid-range hotels, meals (B/L/D where noted), and park fees included;
Day 1: Antsiranana Exploration
Start in Antsiranana with a city tour of its vast bay and colonial sites. Afternoon visit to nearby Ramena Beach for snorkeling and fresh seafood lunch. Evening free in town; overnight at Hotel Le Suarez or similar (B/D).
Day 2: Amber Mountain National Park
Drive 45 minutes to Amber Mountain National Park for 3-4 hour guided hike amid waterfalls, endemic birds, and lemurs. Spot chameleons and enjoy picnic lunch by sacred cascades. Return to Antsiranana; overnight same hotel (B/L/D).
Day 3: Three Bays & Travel Prep
Full-day excursion to the iconic Three Bays (Sakatia, Dzaoudzi, Pigeon): golden sands, baobabs, and pirogue rides. Relax or snorkel before evening drive south (2 hours) toward Ankarana. Overnight at Ankarana lodge (B/L/D).
Day 4: Ankarana National Park
Explore Ankarana's canyons, tsingy rocks, caves, and underground rivers on a 4-hour trek; spot fossa and lemurs. Picnic amid Jurassic formations. Afternoon drive 3-4 hours to Ankify port with cocoa/coffee plantation stop. Ferry (40 min) to Nosy Be; transfer to hotel in Hell-Ville area (B/L/D).
Day 5: Nosy Komba & Nosy Tanikely
Boat to Nosy Komba (Lemur Island) for lemur encounters and artisan markets. Snorkel at Nosy Tanikely marine park's "aquarium" reefs with turtles and corals. Beach BBQ lunch; return for sunset views (B/L).
Day 6: Nosy Be Highlights & Departure
Morning ylang-ylang distillery tour and Mont Passot viewpoint over craters and bays. Afternoon free at Madirokely Beach or Lemuria Land Park for wildlife. Evening transfer to Nosy Be Airport
